MILFORD – Milford Public Library is offering several programs for young adults next month.

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting, for youth in grades 9 to 12, will be Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. In the library program room. Members of TAG will help the librarian with programs, planning and displays. New members are welcome. TAG meets on the first Thursday of the month. Masks must be worn, and teens must register. For more information, email

The Spill Some Ink: Teen Writing Group, for ages 13 to 18, will meet Oct. 12 and 26 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. Participants will share writing prompts, activities, and exercises. The group is designed for teens to share their work together in a safe space while learning about workshopping to get constructive ideas from peers to help them move forward with their writing. All types of writers are welcome. Masks and registration are required.

Parents of children and teens in grades K through 12 can attend a Zoom webinar, 5 Ways to Support Your K-12 Student’s Study Practice After COVID-19, on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The webinar is designed to instruct parents on learning to recognize, address and reinforce their student’s study practice as they return to school in an uncertain environment. In this free seminar, parents and guardians will learn why organization will be critical, how to recognize if your student is struggling, why it is important to get help early, the vital role of executive function, and how to deal with anxiety and uncertainty. This will be an especially useful online seminar if your student is transitioning to a new school, such as middle and/or high school.

The Boo Bash Teen Spook-tacular, for grades 6 to 12, will be Oct. 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the library’s Fowler Pavilion. Youth can drop-in to create candy corn squishy, make a yarn ghost doll, DIY skull bookmarks, and more. Registration and masks are strongly encouraged. All activities are available while supplies last. In case of poor weather, the event will be inside the library program room and masks will be required.
