Flood Advisory issued October 2 at 10:36PM CDT until October 3 at 3:30AM CDT by NWS St

The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Central Boone County in central Missouri…

* Until 330 AM CDT.

* At 1036 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Columbia, Midway and McBaine.

This includes the following streams and drainages…
South Fork Grindstone Creek, Callahan Creek, Cow Branch, Clear
Creek, Grindstone Creek, Bear Creek, Hinkson Creek, Bass Creek,
Barclay Branch, Hominy Branch, Little Bonne Femme Creek, Rocky
Fork Creek, Nelson Creek, Perche Creek and Slacks Branch.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
